-- Tamara Bond, New York This free online novel-in-progress is based on the gone-but-not-forgotten TV series Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. It picks up at the end of Season 2 and goes in a whole new direction; so it should be especially interesting to anyone who, like me, thought Season 3 was passable and after that everything went to hell in a handbasket. I want to sincerely thank my fellow FourFen -- Tamara Bond (Queen Tiye), Catherine Hill (Caitronia), and Lillian Wolf (Una Salus Lillius) -- for their energetic encouragement, scintillating storystorming, and constructive criticism. Anasazi Anthem contains 22 chapters - plus prologue and epilogue - in emulation of Andromeda's 22-episode seasons, which may cause an episodic and scriptive flavor that doesn't usually exist in material not written for the screen. You'll find some interesting retcon, though. The novel also assumes that you arefamiliar with Andromeda and do not need to be given a detailed Seasons 1 & 2 backstory. Unfortunately, the series' own website apparently expired. However, for reminders of what went on in Andromeda itself, take a look at the Andromeda (TV) Wikipedia article and All Systems University and more than one online fan wiki that have sprung up (though do watch out for the occasional inconsistency in all of them). Plus, you can catch the whole magilla on streaming services, or buy the CDs. CURRENTLY AVAILABLE: Chapter 7: And the Pride Shall Stand Chapter 8: In My Father's House Chapter 9: A Game of Bear and Cat Chapter 10: Sealed with a Kiss Chapter 11: Home Again, Home Again Chapter 15: World Enough and Time COMING SOON: While I found the writing going slower than hoped, it's gone pretty fast lately, as the 8 chapters posted this year alone will attest. Still plugging away at doing research, maintaining continuity, and IDing and emplacing retcon with the show and my previous chapters. Still amazed at how this story sometimes insists on going somewhere I never expected. Hope you're finding some amazing nuggets in it, too.
Please keep my efforts on this work -- which, as noted below, one of my loved ones thought so important -- in your positive thoughts and prayers. Thanx.
