About Us

Earthstar Works was originally envisioned to provide a select audience with a few specialized amateur eco-assemblage art pieces. It later expanded to include offering several pocketbook-friendly chapbooks. Now, in its next phase of growth from those humble beginnings, it has expanded to the web.

Still, Earthstar Works is not a profit-driven business. Earthstar Works is a simplicity-oriented, breakeven, "cottage" clearinghouse that strives to tread lightly on the planet, while offering occasional items of personal value to a small and special audience. Please read our policy statement, which is important and is written in everyday English, not turgid legalese.

Speaking of value, we value your feedback. We especially value your help in alerting us to any problems or errors you see on this web site. But we're certainly not averse to hearing what you like about it, too.

And if you like what we're doing, you can help for free by putting a link to Earthstar Works on your own web pages, on any MBs you're a member of or in your email signature.

Thank you,
The Earthstar Works Team

About Our Logo
The name of this site and its parent enterprise comes from the Menominee appellation Ahkēw Anāh (ah-KAY-oo  uh-NAH), Earth Star, bestowed on our founder by a tribal member. Our logo is inspired by several pieces of vintage Native American beadwork we've seen. The star represents the unimaginable greatness of the Cosmos, the circle represents the living spirit of the Earth, and the lines represent the essential connectedness of all Humanity, arising from its Place Before and spreading around this Shining World.
