Earthstar Arts
What is eco-assemblage art?
It’s ecologically-minded art created from an assemblage of odds and ends. From bits of nature, reused and recycled materials, unwanted and broken scraps. From things collected for no other reason than that they reach out, touch the soul of the artist, and plead to be made use of. Art that, by creating beauty from what has been discarded, demonstrates environmental consciousness and an inspired adherence to the universal law “Thou shalt not waste!”
Other names that you may encounter to describe this type of phenomenon are "trash to treasure" and "upcycling" and "objet trouvé". It all has the same flavor of being environmentally conscious/friendly.
Earthstar Arts are individually handcrafted 2D and 3D works of, primarily, eco-assemblage art that use rescued or recycled materials. Fallen branches, beachfront stones, discarded scraps of fur, outgrown toys, pieces of broken jewelry and hardware, patches of carpeting, snippets of multicolored wire, remnants of cloth, thread, cord, and yarn...many a strange and wonderful thing has found its way into a work of Earthstar art.
In the past, Earthstar Arts have sold mainly through local brick-&-mortar outlets. And to be honest, we’re nearly sold out at the moment. But stay tuned, because we’re gearing up to produce a new batch of unique pieces. When they’re ready, you’ll see them pictured here.

Special Invitation*
Are you a pack rat who saves useless things because “there’s gotta be something I can do with this”? Are you an amateur artist who uses the things you collect to create assemblage art as a hobby...for the love of it? Do you have a few arts/crafts pieces you’d like to offer for sale?
If you'd like to explore the possibility of being an Earthstar Arts Affiliate, please email us with ARTS as the first word of the Subject line.
